Eureka Springs Info

I'm sure many of those attending the rally have been to Eureka Springs before.
But for those who haven't, I wanted to pass on few things........

If you have never been to Eureka Springs it’s worth going downtown at least once just to check it out.
The downtown historic district is what Eureka Springs is all about. For guys, once may be enough.
The sidewalks are uneven so watch your step.
There is parking on the street, but you will have to get there early to get a spot.
Be sure to feed the meter or you will get a ticket.
There are also several public parking lots, some have meters, some don’t. But none are free.
Downtown you can buy anything from the usual cheap souvenirs to expensive artwork.
There are plenty of places to get something to eat or drink
The Basin Hotels Balcony Bar is a good place to take a break.

There are no stop lights in town, plenty of stop signs, but no lights.
This can make it difficult at times, especially if you are riding south on Ark 23 (Main St.)
from downtown trying to get out on U.S. 62 (Van Buren).
It is uphill there and you will probably be twenty cars back.
Also be careful where Spring St. meets Main.
Traffic on Spring St. doesn’t have to stop and Main has a stop sign and you’re going uphill.
The best way to get back to the motel from downtown is to ride south on Main (Ark 23)
and just past the courthouse turn right on Benton. Stay on Benton, it merges with Midway, stay right,
keep going a short distance and it will take you to US 62 with the motel straight across from you.

There are no stop signs on Van Buren (US 62) so it’s easy to travel. But pulling out on to it may try your patience.

Riding The Eureka Springs Trolley is also an option.

There are plenty of things to do in the area, Here’s a few links

Thanks Dave for all the lastest info. This will be my first time in Arkansas. I'm looking forward to this trip.

Again Dave... Great job filling in the details of the area. Superb job!

I, personally, will not miss the Thorncrown Chapel by E. Fay Jones.

Jones was a great architect, and one of my favorite.

The Thorncrown Chapel is iconic, award-winning, and listed as one of the greatest architectural works in the U.S. I share the opinion, but haven't been there. I am sure it will not disappoint me.

If you have not been down the Pig Trail, it is a great ride.
