LED load equilizer
 

Going to change out my turn signals to LEDs. Do I need to run load equalizer for each side, or run one load equalizer for the pair?? Front, Rear turn signals? Advance auto said I had to run one load equalizer per led light. Any help would be great

forget the load equalizers, they are very hard to get right,

this method here below will stop the LED turn signals from doing nasty things but you will lose the turn signal button automatic shut-off feature so you'll need to push the turn signal cancel button after every turn (just a new habit to learn),

you need this Standard DOT 2 wire flasher to replace OEM turn signal flasher under the seat: cut off that white plastic plug connector on the DOT and solder both wire:

cut the 2 turn signal bulb wires and install the Diode Kit inside the speedo like this:

the reason for the load equalizers and this other method I posted is because of the way Kawasaki has wired up the OEM turn signals

I used an equalizer on each signal

did it work? i tried 2 of them on my other bike and never could get them to work

I used one for each turn signal up front, for a total of 2, and they were 50w 6 ohm, and on the rear, my run turn brake controller came with a duel load equalizer........
If you want to keep your self cancelling turn signals, then you will need to run one for each turn signal circuit for a total of 4.

oh 4? oh so maybe that's why I couldn't get my load equalizers to work, I had a total of 2 on the whole circuit

Yes, they work.

Mine came without directions, and the way they wire in is contrary to all logic.

They basically ground the hot side to the frame to increase the load on the circuit.

It goes contrary to everything I had ever learned, but they work.

One end connects to the hot side and the other to a bolt on the frame.
