Fuel Processor

I have a stock Nomad with the baffles drilled out. The other flat baffles deep in muffler were hit with a pipe and are kinda flattened in on the walls of the pipe but not totally out. Goat Belly intact. My question is, if I leave this intake alone, and the exhaust as is, and add a TFI or FI2000R to eliminate pinging, what should I expect the MPG to do. Would this go up possibly, or will it most definitely get worse? What if the intake and exhaust are opened?

I currently range around 37-39mpg. Would like to go into 42-45mpg, if anyway possible.

Fuel Processor

By adding a fuel processor it will make the mixture a little richer and you will probably see a minor decrease in gas mileage. I have the Cobra FI2000R and the bike runs cooler and doesn't ping but my Nomad never pinged before I added the Cobra. On a trip to Texas from Alabama last year I averaged 42 MPG. Best I got on one tank was 47 and 46 on another. This was with the Cobra installed.

Can't help you with the exhaust issues as I have done nothing other than debaffling. Don't do anything to the goat bladder. Leave it as it.
