Just make sure you get the all metal stem. The rubber ones are too flexable and I'm afraid they might break off before too long!! Ive used both. No more rubber ones for me!

I had same problem. The dealer took the starter button apart and cleaned it. Worked like new after that, but could also be any of the other safety switches including a faulty kill switch.
