Running seafoam in the crank case for a bit is not a bad idea either. If your rings and their seats are a bit carboned and sticky it will increase oil consumption. I did this on a tractor that was given to me and was smoking badly on start up. It still uses a bit of oil, but the blue smoke haze on start up has gone. |
