Look at this photo showing the 2 bars from above, the width is the same, but due to the extra rise, and the different angle of the pull-back, it moved my grips approximately 3 inches closer to me, at the same elevation as the 1600 bar.
The bar at the top of the pic is the 1700 bar, the other is the 1600.
