There seems to be a good number of Canadians on this site, so I thought I would post my experience and costs to send my ECU to Ivan's for flashing.
I sent it out on February 03 from Canada Post, and it cost me $39.44 Canadian insured for 800 dollars. Then I received it on February 16th. From my credit card statement I had paid $555.78 Canadian for the service and shipping back to me. Total cost 39.44 + 555.78 = $595.22 Canadian.
Hope this helps someone as "I" had no idea as to how much it was going to cost me. I might add I didn't think it was so bad and am glad I did it. Of course I can't try it yet, still snow and salt for us here.
