new ride

well i am preparing for the trip to the southwest rally so i had my 08 at the dealer for brake/clutch fluid and coolant change.ended up trading for a new
leftover 2011 black vaquero.got a great price and 15% off all accesories which
i am sure will be numerous.i have decided not to take delivery untill the first week in june as i wanted to take my old bike and enjoy the comfort of that
ultimate seat one last time.besides that is 2500 miles that won't be on the new bike.it will take me most of the summer to get the new one set up the way i want anyways.the thought of shopping all those new accesories is half
the fun of a new bike to me.

Way to go Bob, it's all about you my friend. Wish I could make that southwest rally. Wife and I are going to Sturgis this year. It's on the bucket list. Enjoy the new ride.

Congratulations on the new ride!. Just what you said about going to the dealer is interesting in that most of them are so pricey on parts and accessories that you would think they would try to keep prices down to get the customers in the door. You never know when someone would do what you obviously did ....... buy a new bike. When I was in with the neighbour the last week .... I didn't realize he was going to pick up oil (synthetic), but for a large jug and a filter and a crush washer for the drain plug ........ he paid around $70+ . I don't buy there without shopping around. Their shop rate was $105 an hour when I questioned them. Too bad because they have a decent shop. Ride safe and have a great day!!
