Scala Rider Q2 and the Exo-100

I've had both these for awhile now - the helmet about a year and a half, the Scala Rider Q2 about 6 months.

When I installed the headset, I just stuck the ear pieces to the inside flaps of the helmet, just in case I didn't like the unit, I wouldn't have to slit open the ear flaps. So today I figured I'd take the liner out, cut a slit for the speakers and slide them in permanently since I'm really happy with the Q2.

Turns out, it's not necessary! The Exo-100 has pockets built into the ear flaps for just such an accessory, and they fit perfect! A small flap covers the pocket which is the perfect size for the speakers, and they're positioned perfectly over my ears.

Who'da thunk? I could've done this a long time ago if I'd just bothered to look!

Anyway, thought I'd pass along that tidbit to other Exo-100 owners who have the Q2 or similar product.

I have the same setup.

I finally found a 1/2 helmet with speakers pockets. That's what sold me.

I tried to use the clamp to hold the headset on the helmet and I could not find a place that fit very well. I drilled two hold along the bottom ridge and toward the front (so the mic would reach) and used the original screws.

The headset is on tight and flush with the helmet and the mic is right in front of my mouth. Much cleaner look than the clamp... IMO.
