losing power

K so ive got a 99 1500. In 5th gear when i get it up to around 55 and ease off the throttle just a bit to maintain 55 its like my bikes loses power but then the power comes right back. Its not cutting out or jerking real hard. I can just feel it. Its as if you were pressing the brake and then releasing them. It also does it in 4th around 45.

You shouldn't be in 5th below 60-65.

It sounds like you're just bogging down a little.

Try running a few rpm's higher.

Could it be a tank of bad gas, or a bad plug.

Mine does the same in 5th at that speed. I can't run it below 60ish. It is so slight a power issue that a bit of bad gas or plug could make it seem like a major problem. It wouldn't hurt to run some Sea Foam through it.

Clogged fuel filter would cause a loss of power. Could be the gas if it hasn't been doing it before.

No hot brake rotors are there? And it is a bit low to be in 5th. Both 4th and 5th are over drives.

Since you're new mods I would go ahead and put 4 new plugs (12 Dollars). It can't hurt and you could get a better reading on how you're new air intake and carb modification is doing!
