Rust in Vaquero Fork Cover

There is rust inside the top of the fork cover... Anyone else ever seen this? How big of a problem is it! In the photo I had sprayed WD40 inside the cover, so it's hard to see the rust, but it indicates where it is...Front Left Fork 2.jpg

I presume you mean there is rust on the fork leg under the part below ?

If so I would clean it up as best as you can and coat it with a rust preventative. As long as there is no rust where the fork seal rides you should be good to go.

The photo appears to show the lower fork yoke. Is the rust higher than that ?
As long as the rust is not where the fork seal rides on the fork leg you are good to go.

It is the lower yoke, but the fork seal is lower down... I think the fork cover covers that up....
