Worlds Tallest Bridge Observatory Ride

Here are some pictures from the ride my wife and I took to the worlds tallest bridge observatory in Bucksport ME.

See my nomad between the two white vehicles?

Here it is zoomed in.

And the view. Bucksport Maine.

Me and the ledge they had to carve to make RT. 1.

The bridge

Headed home

Worlds Tallest Bridge Observatory Ride

We have a group of riders from another site going on a ride through Maine on August 13th and 14th (2011)

We will leave Augusta on Saturday morning around 9:00 AM and ride to this bridge observatory. We will also ride the Park Loop road in Acadia National Park stopping at Thunder Hole and riding up Cadillac Mountain. then we will continue on to the Lubec area and will visit the Eastern most point in the United States. We will stay overnight on the 13th and some people are going to continue on into Canada and some are just going to head home on Sunday or Monday.

If anybody is interested in joining us let me know.

Oh yes. 2 years ago we were up that way. We rented a little boat from Wilson's and went over to the one of the Islands.

I own some property up in Jackman with my brother. We used to go up there every year when we were kids. I would think there's some good riding up there.

My sisters might, they are the same age. I own property on Moose River Road. I was friends with the Ouellete's, Ronnie and Winnie and their son Stevie. Ask him if he knows them. I am sure he does. I will ask my sisters about Phil.

I haven't been in touch with him in a few yrs. :(
Last time I was up there he & wife were having problems and were staying with Phil's Mom on main st. Jackman being such a small town I just thought you might know him. He's a nice guy easy going type, his dad was a Maine Guide and knew all the good fishing spots locally. We'd get a mess of trout and his mom would fix a meal fit for a king. ;)

Yes it is really a beautiful area. The land, the lakes and the people. I would guess only Minnesota could match it for fishing here in the lower 48.
