Vaquero after 90 days

I have had my 2011 Black (fastest color) Vaquero for 90 days now. 2750 miles. Have added driving lights, passenger floorboards and back rest, taller windshield, Highway pegs and Grasshopper limited drivers back rest.

I FREAKIN LOVE IT! I Love the way it rides, I love the way it looks and every thing about it. I cant wait unitl this fall when I take it on my first long trip. I get so many admiring looks and compliments. Absolutely nothing about it I dont like!

I bet he wishes it came with driving lights, passenger floorboards and back rest, taller windshield, highway pegs and a drivers back rest.

I've had my RED 2011 for just a few weeks and feel the same way. Just a great bike! Although I think they make more money on the accessories than the sale of the bikes...

superior in many ways to my 08 nomad ! sorry boys, the old style nomad is a good all around bike and i really enjoyed my nomad for 4 years but it
is not the equal of the vaquero.this is particularly true in terms of handleing
and top end power.and the 47 m.p.g. doesn't hurt either.

What an awesome day! Got some work stuff done, thanks for the assist guys. Then fired up the bike and headed to West Virginia to one of my favorite places in the world, Hawks Nest State Park. I only missed it by one mountain. Oh well, I was able to ride across the Summersville Lake Dam and then the rode under the New River Bridge. Stopped in Fayetteville at Gumbos Cajun restaraunt for lunch and it was awesome. Then rode home. Total ride time 9 1/2 hours and 375 miles. Great day!

I thought I had made a mistake when I sold my 05 Nomad and bought a Voyager. The Voyager grows on you after the memories of the Nomad fade.

I feel the same way!!! I LOVE my Vaquero! A little over 1,000 miles on mine and I look forward to every ride!

Hubby added the Cobra fuel thingie....sorry, I forgot what you call it.
and he STILL can't catch me if I hammer it!!! He told me that he knew I wasn't even giving it everything it had, and he couldn't catch me! I like to tease him....take off from a light and leave him the dust....slow down and wait for him to catch up, and cover my mouth with a yawn!!!!

PS - He is owed this from me, from the years he would leave me behind on my 900!!!

Bob, if you would get it out of granny mode the mileage would come down.

I purchased my red 2011 Vaquero in February and I have absolutely no regrets, it's a bike that grows better the longer you own it and the more you ride it... I have upgraded some bits and pieces along the way: Cee Baileys windscreen, iPod connector, PCV, V&H Slashies, wrapped the exhaust header, Racnray's throttle mod on Kuryakyn ISO grips, some shiny parts here and there and after weeks of waiting my Kawi driving lights and Thunder intake will be arriving here tomorrow... NO MORE DOG BOWLS covering the engine! Now she's getting where I want her to be...

I've had mine for 82 days and just rolled 5,000 miles on the way home from work this afternoon. Only complaint I've got is, there's too damn much chrome on it! lol

I've had my Nomad for 322 days and put just over 1600 miles on it. I should probably take a vacation.

Congrats. great to hear you enjoy your bike. I got a great deal on my 08 Nomad about 6 weeks ago and have put 2500 miles on her, I absolutely love this bike. I know a lot of guys don't keep their bikes for long but I got this bike w only 5000 miles on her and I plan on riding her for a good while. You really can't beat Vulcan baggers in bang for your buck. When and if I need another bike it will be another Vulcan bagger just not sure which one
