Like a good neighbor

We left town for a week to help with our daughters wedding in Seattle. My neighbor, who was on my forgot to call list, called and left a message on my cell phone informing me that he could tell I was gone and was just letting me know he was watching the house.

Good neighbours are hard to find, Im really fortunate and am surrounded with fantastic people on our street. I know how you feel when you can watch out for each other.

Of course, gives him a good opportunity to slip over and borrow a couple things too. :)

You said he could tell you were gone. The papers piling up at the door and the mailbox so full the stuff is falling out on the ground is a dead give away ;)

LOL! A casual observer wouldn't know it.

He can borrow his stuff back anytime. I know where to find it again.

I don't have any neighbors...the closest is about 1/2 mile....Living out in the country in the sticks and trees is great....Don't think I could ever or want to live in the city again.
Moved to the outside about 10 years ago.
Closest WalMart is 30 miles...Not so good sometimes.
