BEST FULL FACE HELMET

Want to stir some debate on this subject. What do you consider the best full face you have owned. I know Ells will chime in Shoei RF-1000 which is a mighty fine lid. Looking for newer lids as opposed to 10 yr old lids. Thanks

I tried on a bunch of FF helmets before buying a new modular, and read a lot of reviews, I was leaning to the RF-1000, but really like the modulars. It may be older, but still ranks up there in my opinion. I know you wanted other helmets, but I could not find one that even came close to the fit I got with the Shoei, unless you want ot get a high end Arai Corsair for around $1,000.

What Doc said! Although, I cannot claim to have looked at them all. Don't think I'd like modular, too clunky. The RF-1000 is a little pricey but I snagged one on a rare sale.

I have an EXO-700, and like it. It's the first and only FF I've owned or will ever own.

Ever since I went to my 1/2, I can't go back. I would like to find something with excellent peripheral vision - all the name-brand helmets I've tried on feel like I have blinders on. Not good, especially on the freeways out here.

BEST FULL FACE HELMET

I bought an EXO 400. I know it is not the most expensive (about $150) but I find it very comfortable, the visor works well, and it has good ventilation. DOT & Snell Approved.

I can't say it is the best because I don't have anything to compare it against but I would buy it all over again if needed.

I think I will stick with the Scorpion when I go to buy my half.

Good luck.

BEST FULL FACE HELMET

I own a Fulmer modular. If I have to wear a full face I really enjoy it. The newer version of my helmet has the sun shade in it. My helmet is comfortable and quiet and priced in the middle. (229) Last year I purchased my Scorpion EXO 100 and really enjoy it when it comes time to purchase a new full face I may go with a Scorpion, but if I have any doubts I'll just buy the newest version of my helmet.

I was very happy with my Scorpion Exo 700 but have to replace it after my now infamous ditch incident. I am thinking of going with the Arai Vector.

That Scorpion 1000 is very good. the Rf-1000 Shoei fits me like a glove. the Scorpion half helmet has a built in sun screen that flips out of the helmet.(Schoeney). The Arai are way good but $$. tried a few more on today while getting new tires installed. Not sure I could go back to a full face after going to 1/2 lid for last 4 yrs

I have always had Shoei FF helmets. I have yet to find another brand that fits my head as good. Presently an RF-1000. No graphics.

Have an Arai Quantum f Dragon. It was given to me. I like it a lot and it looks really cool but I wouldn't have spent that much for a street helmet. My friend Joe ( former owner) used to run his R1 on track. Guess ya need to pay for quality.

I got a G-Max for my wife. Good quality, great fit, great ventilation, reasonable price. Around a $100.00 tax included from a local shop. Also great looking graphics. Had to get something colorful. She was feeling a bit drab next to the Dragon. Great variety. Found the one I wanted in the offroad catalog for snowmobiles.

For the $$$, I don't think you can beat the Scorpion helmets, Be it the EXO, 400, 700 or 1000. If $$$ is no object, then by all means, buy an Arai.... They are the best $$can buy. There is also a German Co., Schuberth, that makes good helmets, but they are also very costly...

Anybody had dealings with helmetexpress? they have alot of discounted helmets: like Shoei RF-1000 for $299. he said they do chg a 10% restocking fee but prices are good. Alot of other brand discounted. I suppose they are new never used or maybe ones sent back??
