Trunk Options

G'day, just got my '07 Nomad this weekend and figured I'd join this forum. Good reading so far, but didn't see anything about trunks.

I want to get a trunk, but I also want to keep the OEM backrest - My wife says it's the most comfortable backrest she ever felt.

I figure I can buy a luggage rack that mounts to the OEM backrest and then mount a trunk to the rack. I was thinking about the Corbin Streamliner, or the TourPak from Scootworks, but not sure either would work with the OEM backrest in-place.

Whatcha think?

Anybody got a trunk on their Nomad with the OEM backrest in-place?

Ride Safe, Live Long - and prosper.

This is a cheap trunk but it does what I need for now. Only about
70 bucks from JC Whitney. It locks and is removable and you can put a full face helmet in it. It carrys my lunch.
Ride safe,
Dano

I mounted a scoots work trunk. I fabricated my own bracket so I could keep the original back rest. I've been trying to get a picture on to show topcat, but i've just not got it right yet, may try again tomorow when I have more time. It worked out real good for me and has a lot of space. In a little bit, I'm going to mount a top rack on it. Then I'll paint it to match my bike.

Dano, is that a cobra rack for F&S? Which mode trunk from JCW is that?
