Vance & Hines pipes

Hey, we are thinking about the V&H bagger duals. I have seen lots of Nomads with them. Are they the better of the aftermarket pipes? I have seen the Cobra in magazine ads and now I hear that Jardine has a set for the Nomad.
I am browsing the net for prices too. I found my local dealer wanted over $500 for the V&H but online I have seen them for as low as 390.00!
Any feedback on the V&H or others?
Thanks. Don

I put them on my Nomad and like the man said, it helps drown out the lifter noise. It doesn't get rid of all of it unless you take the baffles out and then you have to know sign language for 30 minutes after you shut it down.

My beast has Jardine duels. you can hear them real well when you roll on the trottle and they mellow out when your out in the open road. I bought them cuz they were the cheapest pipes in the market. the VH & Cobras are better made fit and finish and sound better to. I am going to be swaping out mine soon. I dont want to hangon to mine anymore.
