Baffle Removal and Gas Mileage

Well, so far I have put about 2000 miles on my Nomad since I removed the baffles. It appears to have lost about 2 mpg on a trip. If I drove at 70 with two up it always got 35 mpg but now it's about 33. It usually does around 40 mpg if I keep it under 60 mph. Has anyone else noticed a drop in fuel mileage? Mine is a 2000 carbureted 1500.
Thanks,
Zoom45

Nope. could be because of the winter blend of gas. My understanding is winter blend gets less MPG's than summer fuel. The muffler mod cannot increase fuel usage unless your just happier twisting the throttle harder to hear it rumble more!

I agree with BD. I might have gotten a little better miliage before, but I get there quicker now! I've found that my speedo is acting up. I used to look at it when it was 65 to 70. Now it's 80 to 85 MPH... Fun though!
