Trailer Update
I did a little more work on my trailer. Maybe you can use this link to see it:
http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x...t=P1090033.jpg I have a box mounted on it for cargo but I can remove 4 bolts then I have a flat bed trailer. I'm going to make a mount that bolts to the same bolts as the box to carry two bicycles on the back. It also has a receiver in the back where I can add a small basket. Zoom45

Trailer Update
I haven't pulled it on the road yet. I still need to run the wires on the bike. I plan on doing it this weekend. I pulled it up my driveway and can't tell it's back there.

Nice job Zoom. I'm still thinking about building one for my bike. It's on that looooong list of additions I want to get to someday. :/

Trailer Update
It was a real old boat trailer. A tree fell on the boat so the rest was junk. I got it and cut the frame and axle tube down and made the trailer (fender to fender) no wider than the Nomad bags. I replaced the main rail (front to back with a smaller 2x2 square tube and new coupler. I ran the tube out the back about 3" and drilled it so I can make a small hitch basket later and pin it in place like a regular hitch. I covered the top and sides with aluminum sheet I use on my race car bodies. I found an old motorcycle rack and cut it down for the front cooler rack. I found some stainless tie down hooks and marker lights for the sides. I planned on using the old wheels but they were too rusty so I bought new ones and also installed new bearings. I still have some add ons to do later. The box is a cheap box from Wal-Mart. I don't like the square look but it works. I also have some cut down truck bed rails for the top of the box. I plan on making a rack for bikes that will go in place of the box when we go to our kids and ride bicycles. This is a cheap way to do it but a lot work. If I made another, I would buy a harbor Freight trailer and cut it down. I probably have a total of $150 in it but a lot of time that was fun. Can't wait to try it out. I think it weighs about 130 lbs.
