Battery Tender

Ranger, that's the best way to go. I just purchased one about 3 months ago... got the advice on this forum. I ran the pigtails from the battery toward the front under the tank. I zip-tied them to the existing wires and connect it from the left side. Easy to use, hard to see unless your looking for it.
