I didn't know we were old timers, I thought we matured gentleman [with all the aches and pains that go with it] trying to retrieve some of our youth by leaving our canes at home on the weekends and heading out for a longer ride then we should because we know we're going to pay for it later but we do it anyways. heating pad is on the couch and absorbine jr is in the cupboard

just weld a short extension in the kick stand ........use a small chunk of steel and have a buddy with a mig welder run a small and easy bead.......easy !!! just hit the weld with a grinder clean it up and get some chrome paint at the store hit the area welded every once in a while if it peels.........cheap and easy no one will ever even see it.............country boy simple. If u send it to me i will do it for free...reallly im not joking around.....
