Where do you mount the AVON heated grip controller?

I am trying to install Avon heated grips (Chrome MT-AIR-90-CH-HT) on my 2011 Voyager. I got both grips installed just fine. However, I cannot figure out where to mount the controller/switch. The bolt holes on the controller do not match the screws on the master cylinders, and the back clamp is way too small to mount the controller on the 1" diameter handlebars.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I've been researching the same problem while my own Avon heated grips are in the post from the USA to NZ... Here's what Mike Fay from the Delphi forum showed me...

I'll probably do something similar, although I may just take the Dremel to it first either to make it fit around the bars or to make it a wee bit more "low profile".

I also was wondering the same thing . . . Have mine in a box ready to put on - just haven't had the time to dig into it yet . . .

I made a bracket from a piece of aluminium angle, and mounted it on my mirror stem.
I have posted pics of it here somewhere. I had one made on each side, the other was for my cruise control pad.
Once its polished it looks like it was made for the bike.
