Winter refreshment

Well its that time of year when riding doesn't exist up in the great white north. But refreshing the bike does.
Did a trip to the city yesterday and dropped some hard earn coin. New battery, shocks, tires, fancy nuts and bolts and of course some new metal for a Nomad project that will be posted when completed. Oh yeah, new helmet, rain gear and leather jacket. It seem to me that over a period of 25yrs., leather seems to shrink because my nice old Bristol doesn't seem to fit anymore! I had to move up 2 sizes.
What have you done or are going to do this winter for this seasons riding??

Sorry to hear about the shrinkage ....it happens to the best of us.
But we all deserve some new stuff once in a while

I plan on just making sure it's running well and do some regular maintenance, John. I think I've done all I want to do. ..... I think I'll have to replace my frt. tire before I go anywhere though.

On a sad/mad note , .... I have a paint chip to fix. I had a couple of bungee cords holding the steering straight. [ don't ask why ] It looks like one of the ends of the cord "let go" and caused a chip in the tank's paint. Made me mad !!! so I just covered the bike back up and decided I'd I'd look at getting it fixed come summer.

All I'm doing other than the over maintenance I usually do is adding some risers and changing to a different tach. If the weather ever warms up.
My garage is not heated

I'll be replacing the front tire, and a rear crashbar, painting the fairing, repairing the cruise control. and giving the bike a once over. That should cover it for me.

I guess it doesn't happen unless you include pics. The dinner table is set!
