Long story, short, and no pun intended, I had a run in with a moving lawnmower blade in 2001. Damaged the ends of the fingers that the doc had to amputate the index and middle fingers on my right hand(I'm right handed) just below the nail. I have had nailbed removal surgeries 3 times on the index and had 2 on the middle. Somehow a cyst formed about a year ago on the corner of the index finger. Finally went back to the dock to find out what it was. He didn't know for sure until he got in there. Had a little bit of nailbed in the middle so he grabbed that too.

After 6 years, it's not so bad. Just aggravating with the stitches bandaging, etc during the process. Hopefully this is the last surgery. 5 for the index and 4 for the middle. Whew! Most people don't notice.

Yikes, that definitely fits in the "something more sinister" category. Hope you heal well, and are back in the wind soonest.

It's alllllmost there. Stitches come out Monday afternoon. I plan to ride for our Thursday dinner ride tomorrow. Short ride. Shouldn't be too bad. Thanks for all the well wishes.
