Scala Bluetooth Teamset
Anyone have information on the Scala Teamset. Looking at them for driver-passenger communications and to hear the GPS unit that I purchased. Looks like a nice unit. The reviews that I could find were for the previous version.

Here's a couple of threads about the Team Set. Hope it helps.

funny you should post this up. I just ordered the set this weekend. Dui546 uses it and said it works great.

The teamset is worth every penny. Cindy and I used it last year as driver passenger intercom. Works great.
This year she bought her own bike so we used the teamset for a month with her on her bike and me on mine. I worksd as long as we were close together ( 40 feet ) I sprung for the Q2 so we could talk further apart if necessary. They claim 1650 feet. Thats like 550 yards. I believe it. They work great also. In my opinion the Q2 is better audio quality than the teamset but for what you are talking using it for the teamset should be perfect.

Thanks for the info. Probably will look into this more. We currently have an older chatterbox but it is difficult to hear at higher speeds. To much interference from wind.

I put my endorsement on the Scala Rider Team Set. It allows you to enjoy a normal voice conversation with your passenger and works well with GPS navigaton (I have the Zumo 550). I use the bluetooth feature with my cell phone and people I've talked with didn't even know I was on my Nomad. As far as endurance of the battery, my wife and I have taken several long rides (8 hours+with stops along the way) and the batteries have always made the entire trip without dying. Simply put, it gets two thumbs (or drinks) up from us.
