at that ptice i could overlook his positives.since for most it would be an out of state purchase you would not ever be back to the dealer for
service.

You'd have to dig down to find out what the negatives are. eBay negatives have nothing to do with service, but rather people buying stuff from them. If people have issues dealing with them when they purchase items from them through eBay, it's something to consider. Having a transcontinental hassel when buying an expensive item is something to avoid. That said, what metrics are used to determine this?

If I was going for another bike, would look at the Gold Wing or the Triumph Rocket III TOURING. Never rode one, but sat on at dealership, felt nice for my size, 6'2". Have read some nice reviews. Huge engine, 2300cc, gets better mpg than my Nomad.

Guy at work has one, what a nice, nice looking bike.

The Goldwing and Rocket aren't in the same market segment. The Rocket is a cruiser gussied up to be a tourer and the GW is a tourer. The Rocket is also missing some things as well when a comparison is made.Â*The Rocket Tourer's engine is detuned from the standard Rocket too. I would also ask the question, which bike is most likely to be found as a leftover? As far as the gas mileage with the Nomad, if you use gasohol, it kind of stinks. I could never get more than 38 on the corn crap and it was 35-37 most of the time.

I guess it was my turn (New w/pics)

I spoke to the service manager at the dealer today and the estimate is now upwards of $7200, and that's just for the Kawasaki parts. Once the aftermarket stuff is added in, it will exceed $8000.

My beloved 2007 Nomad is most likely a total loss. :'( :'( :'(

I should get the official word from my insurance company later today.

It just amazes me how little damage it takes to total a bike these days.
Not down playing the damage to your bike Scott but from your pics it looked like all cosmetic damage.

It was a reference to the origin of the ad: West Virginia. Sorry if I offended you.

Sometimes there can be a lot more damage when it is examined past skin depth. The other thing is the cost of factory parts. I am sure the dealer is charging list as he should. At this point, I would bet it is a total. If it isn't and they fix it, Scott should file a claim of diminished value.

Ponch,

The Rocket is no where in the same class as a GW, I just think it is a nice looking, feels good bike for my size. It's as much a "tourer" as the Nomad is, cause I think that's what the Nomad is classified as isn't it, a Tourer?

My opinion is, nothing beats a GW, hands down. But, opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one!!

I just like the look of the Rocket, it's kind of like the Nomad. If I had my druthers to buy another bike, it would be the GW. I would never waste my money on a HD. Not saying they are bad, just why pay that much more money for something that isn't up to par with the Nomad?

I personally like the Nomad, consider it the second best bike out there, after the GW. I also like it because it's a "one off", not a lot of them out there, don't run into them very often. There's another reason I wouldn't buy a HD, I like to do my own thing, not have the 'herd' mentality. Well, and I've almost always been a Kawasaki fan.

Now, all you HD riders needn't jump on me. Like I said, everyone has their own opinions, that's just mine...........

No DV for first party losses in AZ....liability is limited to the cost of the repair or the ACV less the deductible. Third party losses are different.

That sucks.
Not for the folks in AZ...if it were allowed, there first party coverage premiums would skyrocket.
