Was a professional gambler/bookie (licensed and legal) for three decades. I and 3 partners owned/managed several casinos in Nevada, Mississippi, Colorado and Arizona. Sold all our businesses when California legalized gaming....retired but I still am an active (very) stock market/commodities speculator....

Never had a boss for 30+ years.......lived on big doses of adrenaline
every day...still do.

Not a bad life for a 70+ self employed person.... Good profession if you truly have the skill and stress tolerance.

Every day is an adventure into really possible poverty or wealth...

Best regards to all of you....

Retired in '05 after 40 years as the Packaging Development supervisor/Graphics Designer for a corrugated box company. Prior to that I ran a Multilith 150 printing press printing brochures and price lists for an aluminum window manufacturer for four years. I've been ridining since 1955. Joined GWRRA in 1989 and my wife and I are Lifetime members. This past October I stepped down as GWRRA Mississippi District Director after three years. Had total knee replacement on right leg last November 18. Looking forward to continuing riding the Nomad, the 'Wing and playing more golf! Not that golfing is going to kill me, but I'd like to meet as many of you other Nomad riders as possible before I'm gone.

Been in the Audio-Visual industry since 1975, still doing it although it has morphed some down thru the years. Started as a bench tech at Michigan State Univ, repairing A-V equipment, running sound for any number of things on campus, including most sporting events. Moved to Texas in '82 continuing as a bench tech and as jobs came and went started working more in the Audio-Video installation world. The company I'm cuurently with installs sound, video, lighting, curtains and stage rigging.
