I have been toying with the idea of taking the emblem off the windshield and putting it on the fairing. I think it is just mounted on the OEM shield chrome with mounting tape but not sure.

So did I but after looking at the fairing for awhile I thought it would look slapped on.

I came up with this idea before I even had my fairing in my possession, only I was thinking of using a passenger backrest emblem, because it's made to sit on a flat surface. Changed my mind because in my opinion, it's too thick.

They're cheaper from the OEM parts houses, like cheap cycle parts or bike bandit.

Dave,
If they are like the backrest emblem, and I'm sure they are....they are just peel and stick.... ;)! Like CJ said.....OEM parts places are the best bet.

Hey Kris. You are back from the wet not frozen North. Hope it will not take too long for you to dry out.

I always seem to have the nack for stirring things up! The emblem comes off pretty easy with a heat gun and blade. They are soft metal and bend easily. I used 3M heavy duty double stick to reinstall. But for those that want new they are $36. at my local shop.

56051E SKU: 56051-1810
MARK,WINDSHIELD BRACKET 1 $36.41

http://www.kawasakipartshouse.net/pa...d/default.aspx

PS: after moving the bike to take this photo, I started back in house and heard a tiny noise then BIG as the bike fell to it's bars. Thank God for those crash bars! Now it's off to find my neighbor to help me lift it.
