2000 Classic turned into Nomad

Hey Jan:

Thanks for sharing those photos. I find this to be a very intersting project, and would love to have one.

Do you know if a side-by-side exhaust is available for a Vulcan 2000? For example- an exhaust pipe on each side of the rear wheel, instead of both being on the right side?

Hey Bilzz,

So far I know, only rightsided exhaust systems for the V2K are available.

I planned myself this winter to do a conversion based on the V&H Bagger Duals.

Some days it would be nice to be able to twist the throttle and have the bike pin you back in the seat.
Sounds like a ride on a Rocket III would be in order!

You guys over there must have no limits to your expertise on custom fabrication!!! Let us know how your exhaust project goes. I think it'd look really nice to have exhaust on either side of the rear tire...

The local Kaw dealer is always wanting me to ride a 2000. He knows I drag race and thinks I would like the power. But it was that shot of the rear of a Nomad and those dual pipes under the bags that made me go check out a Nad.

I fully agree that the looks of a Nad are awsome! I owned myself 2 Nomads a 1500 Fi and a 1600, GREAT rides!

But the torque of 125 CI with a Power Commander and a K&N element, is amazing. And every time again a joy.

Honestly I miss the shaft drive and the air assisted shocks.

But overall I'm satisfied with the V2K

I agree with Jared here. A Nomad with 125 CI, hard bags, a tour pack and dual exhaust would make mouths drool. There would be no other bike like it. Who does Trip have to talk to to make that happen.... ??

I've heard, and I could be wrong, that the Vulcan 2000 is be discontinued.

One of the magazines, was it Road Bike maybe?, just had a story on a guy that put hard bags on a V2K.

Looked pretty good.
