Thanks for all of your congrats !! Can't believe it yet.
And as far as what am I going to do?? I had a colleague who was still working with me at age 72 ask me what I was going to do when I retired. I said that exact thing almost.

Rick when you said big announcement I thought maybe you'd bought a Victory or something.
Seriously congrats and while this may sound funny after awhile you will wonder how you ever had the time to work.

Thanks Norm,... It's not the same as being retired I know, but I've been away from work for the better part of three yrs and on compensation. I am just finishing my gradual rtn to work after all that time and will work three days nxt wk, as a member of the crew and my last week at the press. Just a coincidence that this "buyout" pkg. came when it did. I was going to retire next May anyway so this really is a bonus. Thanks again to everyone for your congrats.

Glad to hear the news Rick. I know what you've been going through the last few years with your injury. We'll be crossing paths soon enough to discuss the particulars so until then enjoy the sun and the rest of the summer .

I'll be do'in my best to make the rally's whenever possible. I have to say though that it's harder to do those longer days in the saddle with these knees and bad hip.

WOW !!! what a feeling !!! 'judygirl" and I arrived today at our beautiful log home on the 108 Ranch. She pulled the plug at her job early too,... and yesterday was her last day. {I did my last shift last Wednesday.}
Through a colleague of "judygirl", we found a needy family that took all we had in the way of furniture/chairs, lamps, pots and pans, box spring and mattress etc. etc.. last night. Then we tossed the personnel belongings in the truck and car and found a hotel for the night. ... then,... hit the road this morning. Now we're here in paradise to stay. I have truly won the lottery.
