I did lower the front forks about 5/8" by moving them up the the fork tree. but I have also modifed a harley rear shock lowring kit to lower the back also. This mod is not pretty but we made it work.. Some day I plan converting an Air dragger system to work. The only issue with lowering the front and the wheel conversion is that there is potential of the OEM blinkers hitting the fender.. I have removed my front and back blinkers and added led ones.

As for the ride it didnt seam like I changed the bike at all except for the handle bars.. However with the stock bars I would find myself riding with one hand on top of the mirror anyway..

Thanks for the comments about my garage.. It honestly more like a bar than a garage...many Budwiser products and Pendelton cloudys have been consumed here... My buddy's actually call it the Rusty Nail

Does the front end need to be lowered after you put the front wheel on? Great Bike. That blue just looks sharp!

The guys at roaring toyz suggest that you lower it..but I had already done so because I lowered the tail about 2 inches already. So I'm not sure it is necessary.. However I have read many articles abt 21 inch wheel conversions and they suggest lowing one inch and if you lower the back two inches in the front..

Wow, that looks awesome. Nicely done. How difficult is it lower the front? It's nice that everything you need to do the job is in the kit!

Actually wasn't bad but you do have go take the forks completely out.. Then slide the covers off and there is a clamp you move down the fork tub and tighten... I only moved mine down about 5/8 of an inch...by the way I am no machanic so if I can do it any one can.. You don't need to take the wheel or finder off if you have someone helpping.. Just make sure u support the rear wheel because with out it the bike will come up on the jack

One other thing if you lower the front and add the wheel there is potential that the blinkers will hit the fender

Thanks for the info. Man I love the look of that wheel. That is the main thing I miss about my 900 custom. Really changes the bike. I really don't want my bike any lower, I wonder how it handles without lowering it.

The wheel and fender risers are a kit from Roaring Toyz.. Real simple kit only thing I had to buy is the axle removal tool... $17...
