Before you buy a 1700, try it out you may not like the clunky 6 speed. It also has electronic throttle control.

1700 Special edition - The "Vaquero"

It is really a sharp bike. I am not a fan of side opening bags myself. My 1983 Goldwing hat top opening bags and it was easy to put thems in them. Actually it came with bag liners and you filled them and then dropped them down in the saddle bag. The top had locking latches on each end. The top came completely off. My right side bad got crushed in an accident when I was hit by a car. The top of the bag got warped but it stayed on. With side opening bags if you don't have liners everything wants to fall out when you open it.

I looked back and noticed my hat was rolling down the road, looked down and saw my right side bag flopping open, spare helmet almost coming out.
stopped, checked bag to make sure I did not leave key in (nope was in my pocket)
I have tried to recreate this scenario multiple times with no luck. I follow the same ritual when closing bags. 1. close bag, 2. lock 3. remove key.
Im sure this is a rare occurance but made me a non fan of side opening bags.
Remember step 4. Try to open to ensure they are locked and closed.

Hi folks. Not that it really matters, (pictures are better then the article) but I don't think it's german. The only language that I could find a close translation for is norwegian (and it's missing some finesse). Here's googles translation of it below.
Eitherway, it's a nice looking ride.

I don't mind the lack of passenger backrest - more wanting to know if it is going to include the trunk as an option (since that seems to be a very common add on once you go batwing).

nice looking machine - tempting to paint mine black after seeing these photos....

2011 Kawasaki Voyager VN1700 Custom

Ivar Ivar Kvadsheim Kvadsheim

Kawasaki leaks without end. Kawasaki is without leaks borders. After ZX10-R Ninja, Z1000SX and W800, the Voyager VN1700 Custom latest model out. After ZX10-R Ninja, Z1000SX and W800, huh Voyager VN1700 Custom out the latest model. There are Spanish SoyMontero.net which stands for pre-launch this time. It's Spanish star SoyMontero.net for pre launch that this addressed.

From before has the naked Kawasaki VN 1700 Classic, and shoulder full suit VN 1700 Voyager, and now that is Custom VN1700 Voyager, or how Kawasaki has decided to reshuffle the names. From earlier has the bare Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic, and shoulder full suit Vulcan 1700 Voyager, and Come on alts Custom VN1700 Voyager, or how Kawasaki has decided to shuffle the specific name.

Technically it is almost like the other two models, so it's equipment level is the big difference here, and there put it nicely in the middle of the two other model - and right in the same segment as Harley-Davidson Road Glide. Technically he equal to almost two Other models, so that he trim level it to her That the major difference lies nicely in the middle between the two and Other models - straight and to the same segment as the Harley-Davidson Road Glide.

More photos below - more info when the Kawasaki coming so far before they officially launched the bike. More photos below - more info, when the commercial launch Kawasaki arrived before the official bike.

That is the Custom 1700 Voyager. The Voyager ABS may have the trunk like last year. We'll find out this week.

I agree 100%! My 2005 Nomad had the side opening bags and every time I opened them stuff would fall out, jacket sleeves would flop across the opening and would have to be stuffed back in, and closing was a trick if they were full. I love the top opening bags as I can stuff them full and never have anything get in the way of closure, and combined with the domed top, I think I can get considerably more in there. :)

What a bunch of crybabies! The side opening bags are far superior, and they are just one of the things that made the Nomad unique.
