I was checking out the elevation of the area on google maps. The scenic riding will be really kewl. I think I will also be taking the smaller roadways. I will probably catch route 10 at Smithfield and take it to Richmond (parallel to 64). Will then take 295 around Richmond to route 33. Route 33 looks good (running through several small towns) all the way from Richmond to Elkins. Getting there and back will be part of the fun.

If I decide to come, it will be wife and I coming for sure. I know she wouldn't let me go by myslef. The route up through Tenn to meet up sounds good.

I'll be there if work trip doesn't get in the way, won't know for a couple weeks. I'd be coming solo (wife doesn't ride). Sounds like a great time, looking forward to meeting all of you. Looks like about a 5-6 hour trip for me.

I will be bringing my wife also and hope to know if I have two or three of the local nomad riders - friends along they have to wait a couple of weeks to put in for the time off.
ride safe. |

I plan on attending at least Friday and Saturday. Not sure about the wife just yet, she said maybe. I will probably trailer the bike down from Maryland unless I can find someone local to ride with.
Sounds like a good time. |

TRAILER? He said TRAILER and the censor didn't bleep the nasty word out. What gives? ;)

Did not mean to use a bad word, guess I will have to rethink that last post.
I come from riding a VN750. I have riden 4 hours before on it, but not when I expect to ride further in the same day. You'll have to excuse me, my longest ride on my Nomad has be 23 miles. |

It is going to be over 800 miles for me if we decide to come. I'm thinking at least 2 days both ways. Does that qualify for Iron Butt status?
