Had a 2000 model 650custom. great bike for one all day. keeps up with the big bores. I needed more comfort for wife on pillon and more oomph for the long haul. You won't have the issue solo at 110 lbs. Keep lifters adjusted unless they've changed to hydraulic. I got rid of all the smog plumbing and it made a world of difference in performance.

Unfortunatlely since we're in Phoenix area the smog stuff will have to stay on (emissions testing). I took the bike through already and it passed. Don't know by how much of a margin so probably won't chance messing around with it. It's got plenty of power for her being a new rider at a buck ten. |

Sorry about my screw up. I didn;t know there was a V Twin 250 untill I was in the act of showing my wife the Reble. I had her seated on both bikes.
The only advice I can give ya on that 650 is to get the sticker off the paint on the tank, before the paint ages, and the sticker fades. If you wait a long time that sticker will leave a print.

Good Deal! Thats a great starter bike to learn on, and after a while she can move on to something else plus it'll give you time to shop around for a deal. Congratulations and I'm happy for y'all!

According to Gadget, a hair dryer will work on those bag stickers. I tried for about 10 minutes yesterday and they didn't begin to pull off. Might try a bit longer today.

Congrats to your wife for her new ride. My wife got tired of looking at the back of my helmet about 6 years ago and decided to get her own bike as well. She took the riders classes and bought a Honda 750 Aero. She has put nearly 40,000 miles on it and is loving riding. I'm sure your wife will love riding her own too.

Go to auto parts store and ask what they have for removing bumper stickers. Goo Gone sucks.
