This is sounding very interesting. It would be nice to have power and fuel economy together. Well at least better fuel economy... Lol

Can I keep my original ECU and buy a replacement to have this done to? I would like to have the original in case California starts annual inspections.

An ECU for our bikes will set you back around $889.43 Have Ivan do the work and if you don't like it, send it back and he can restore the original stock settings. This defeats the whole purpose in the first place though...this entire thing is about major improvements in many facets of the ECU function....making things run the way they should. it took him and his team about a year to master the new settings. Not worth the cost of an extra ECU.

Thanks for that info. It makes sense to just do mine and hope that California doesn't start with inspections. Maybe if it was just a visible inspection I would pass without them knowing. I will be watching this thread and see how others like this with a stock set up.

Don't waste your money on another ECU.... There's no need to spend money on that. Stock or pipes and air filter... All the benefits are the same. Driveability is the most noticeable improvement for all setups. The first and most noticeable improvement is how much quicker it revs. Throttle response and control is very much improved over stock programming. Then there's all the power improvements... everybody like more power. Guys with pipes will be able to say goodbye permanently to all the popping and backfiring. People can research some of the other cruisers that I have done on their respective message boards... (Bolt, Raider, Stryker, Stratoliner). I'm 100% confident that you people will be very happy with the work that we have done. Ivan |

I scoured the internet yesterday, and thought I'd found one negative review of Ivan's work... But it was just from someone complaining his face hurt from wearing a huge grin ever since Ivan worked his magic.
I'm sold... and now only waiting until I can do without my ECU for the time it takes to ship it to the USA and back. Coming to the end of season down here, so it'll be in the post at the first sign of bad weather.

I spoke with Ivan yesterday also. I can say the man's knowledge is extensive. I will be sending my ecu in as soon as I get home to get it out. I'm like a giddy little kid !

How long does it take after you receive the ECU?

Same day turnaround... Your throttle may become too sensitive.... You can try it, if it's too sensitive, then you can remove the mod. No big deal. Ivan |

My ECU is going to be sent to Ivan soon. On the Rac'n Ray throttle mod, I had that done on mine too. I am thinking that all you might need to do is loosen up the pull cable on the top at the throttle grip a little....just a wee bit....but I will know this after a test, after Ivan sends my ECU back.

I don't know if you could answer this but can I remove the mod from my throttle or do I need to buy a new throttle grip?

Ivan. How does the flashed ECU account for modifications that change the air fuel ratios of a stock vaquero, such as open exhaust and open Big Air intakes? I only have a concern that an ECU flash is somewhat of a one size fits all.

Ivan, have you thought of doing the older 1500/1600 Vulcan FI's? I have an 05' Classic.
