I just replaced both of mine this week. I called around for prices the best I got was $358.98 free mount and balance plus tax. I went with that one metezlers. All the shops I called had them in stock. I think there the most used tire in my area.

mounting price is but I think it's around $50
??? Does that include removing the rear wheel from the bike, or are you bringing the wheel in? If it includes removal, not bad. I did mine, what a PIA. Even with the bike all the way up on the lift, I still had to remove almost the whole rear end (fender, bag mounts etc.).

I dont think you can go wrong with the Me880s, Dunlop Elites, or the Avons. Its a matter of choice depending on size , whitewalls etc. I bought my front ME880WWW at Ron Ayers motorsports in march for $99.00

$50 would be worth it in time alone. But my bad experiences with shops leaves to me doing it myself. That way I know everything was torqued to spec and stripped out! Long story........... |

The Ron Ayers dealership is right here in Greenville. That's where I got my quote from on the tires. I forgot to ask what the cost of mounting is when I was out there picking up my new headlight bulb. I'll try to remember to check out the mounting price and yes that would include removing it from the bike. I'm not gonna do that. I only do the bare basics.

I just unbolted the rear of my V&H baggers and let them sag enough to get the axle bolt out.

I put Metzeler ME880's on mine, and, I'll definitely be using them next time, too ! much tighter in the corners, and excellent traction all the time.
