I'd like to add an Ultimate solo seat with backrest, Viking bags and a tail rack. As soon as I figure out how to load pictures, I'll put some up.

Putting Nomad bags on aren't hard. A slicing wheel here, a weld there, some bending....some shimming, but ya gotta work around that exhaust. Take a look at Vulcan Bills bike!

The easiest thing to do is to put a set of V&H or Cobra Dual Baggers on it.

The mufflers and bag supports lock each other into place.

On the Classic it looks like the bag supports MAY bolt right on, unlike the Meanie.

I'm not as familiar with the 1600 supports, they're a bit different than the 1500 supports.

I would try to find a 1600 Nomad and compare mounting bosses and take a couple of measurements.

As MAS said, look and measure....I put a set on a classic about 5 years ago, as I recall, it wasn't bad. BUT, I've slept since then, don't remember, but was fairly straight forward....
After you've done shit on more than 10-20 bikes, all the mess you've done starts to run together in your mind....look before you leap

In case you don't know for sure yet... Based on the vin you provided, your bike is a 2005 VN 1600A3. Better known as a Vulcan 1600 Classic. Sold originally in GA in March of 2006.
