RE: ABS Hard Lowers - On Sale

I like what I see! I think it is much cleaner looking than the Premuix I have. You are very wise in using the KISS method! Usually the simplest design is the best design. I have the cubby holes in mine and I'm not all that sure why! A couple of snap on pouches would probably work just as well without all of the extra work of making the cubbies! They are not big enough to really hold anything - I keep my Plexus & WD 40 with a rag in one and the other one has my kickstand foot.

RE: ABS Hard Lowers - On Sale

Nice work John. I'm anxious to see a finished pair on a newer model bike. I don't care if there are air vents or not....IMHO the ride is more comfortable without them anyways....but I am curious if there are any provisions for a pocket or storage space of some kind on the rearward side of them.

I have the one piece Airlite engine guard chap and there is a large pocket on both sides. I use one for storing earplugs and the other for my rain gloves and a notepad w/pen. Whatever may go in there....it is nice to have that little bit of extra storage space. I'm not trying to build a better mouse trap or anything and I get the KISS concept.....so I'm just curious is all.

It would not have to be a high-tech deal....maybe just a couple optional pockets that snap into place with a Velcro latch or something. It's been awhile since I've bought any bling....so this might be a good excuse!

RE: ABS Hard Lowers - On Sale

Thanks everyone for the feed back. I will see what I can't do to please as many as possible. I would give you all more info but tomorrow it could all change. The project is on two benches, the shop floor and all over my home office. :(" title="" border="0"/> :-/ ??? :) Hope to have a better update next week. May have a set back, wife's father is terminal cancer in Indy so gotta make some road trips.

Think Spring soon everyone! And for sure I will have these ready to go by end month for sure....

They look great will the inside look finished as well.I would be interested in a set what will the cost be. It would be great to see a pic on a bike when you get a prototype.
