Good to hear that you where able come to a controlled stop.

I've hit deer going 70 in a cage and like you said no time to react and it hits damn hard.

Get well and back on 2 wheels soon.

I'm glad you're alright Pablo I hit one a year ago and twisted the living hell out of my left foot ad was sore all over for about a week. My beloved Vn 800 had so much damage that it's not worth the repairs to run again. Luckily my boss let me limp around on a cane for a week or two. He rides bikes too.

Dang! My leg is not as swollen this morning, but it is lots more sore. I'm glad they gave me crutches. Otherwise, I don't think I could get around.

Glad to hear you made it out of that one, that had to be scary. Came close once but missed the deer. Sorry to hear about the bike, but that's always fixable.

I have been trying to think of a way to describe what the collision was like. The closest thing I can think of is: when watching a NASCAR race and the camera shot is inside the car when they show a major collision.
Everything is going along smoothly, then BAM!!!, and everything sort of coasts down to a stop.

It's hard to describe how hard that impact was. Fortunately, I wasn't flying through the air or sliding down the pavement afterwards, but still on the bike and on the road. There's a small scratch on the inside of the windshield on the left side where I must have pushed the clutch reservoir into it on impact. I'm wondering if the ape hangers helped me stay on the bike instead of going over the bars.
