Kawgirl and all Easterners.........How far ahead you all think we should be looking at an actual date? I guess we should pic date and location first. Then get a general count so we can look at possible motels to approach to reserve a block of rooms and see if they may give a slight discount for having a group.

A motel/hotel with a nice big parking area and perhaps a picnic table or a little outdoor pavailion to sit around and visit in the evenings would be great. I have been to small rallys where to motel will actually take some orange cones and yellow tape and section off a part of the parking area for motocycles only...thats a nice touch.

Here is an excerpt from an email I received from an NCVulcan group member on their ride in West Virginia in the Pocohontas County area.

Watauga National Park in WV - most was on 219 (twisty, turny!!). It is up around Marlinton, WV (Snowshoe, Cass Railroad).
Was a great week of riding and the cabin was very relaxing. The restaurant at the lodge was also wonderful.

I would vote for that area of WV...Snowshoe has a rally up there I think maybe in June.....but again..where ever, I am there.

The Senaca Rocks Area, from Petersburg to Franklin has many nice Motels & Cabins all at reasonable rates. Snowshoe is quite pricy. Both areas are very scenic,but more things to do near Senaca Rocks, Caanan Valley, Smoke Hole Cavern, Cass Railroad,Dolly Sods, and great food.The roads don't get any better for scenery, paving, and twisty's.
