Where is he now? I just found this thread. Loafer set me to another.... Jared says I get 1 night, but i hope for atleast 2... I'ld like him to see my mountians, and point him east afterwards......

He can stay here so long as he wants...... other riders have stayed as long as 3 weeks and come back again for 10 days... That one was a female gal from the land of Kiwi.

In used to be a mod at mcusa and riders from there came here too.

If a larger group came say 10, there is a field out back where tents could be set up and I have said so for years. But 'we' mostly seem to be aging and tents appear to be very limited for riders nowadays.

05 into 06 I rode 40 states in one ride, and saw a lot of slezzy motels, and kinda liked my kelty 2 man tent better sometimes.

I am taking a break (2600 miles last week) in Edinboro PA visiting with family. I'll be going to Pittsburgh this afternoon and staying there this evening and taking off for a five day loop up to Maine.

I got this pm, and with out his permission am posting it.... Hope he doesn't mind..

"I'm going to be riding the same route as originally planned, just backwards. I'm in Maryland tonight camping at the Greenbelt National Park. Went site seeing in DC. I learned my lesson and won't try that again.

I'm still planning on arriving Friday, mid day.

Jared "

That friday thing is my place of course... I have a jug of oil and a filter here waiting...

I hope to steal his attention for a wee ride in NH, somehow so he leaves fresh on Sunday morning, but i have the idea that won't fly.....

Maybe when he goes I can escort him to the Vt line..

The last rider I escorted there, we all went as far as Mt Killington Vt.... nice place up there.

Jared if you see this get a lobster in Maine...

Well he might be advised we have MOOSE, BEAR, DEER, and 40 pound TURKEY.

Our turkey are the size of pronghorn, our deer weigh 250 dressed out too commonly. A full grown black bear gets 400 and a moose is 1,200 lbs dressed sometimes...

He better not hit one....

He's got UB's huh? That will be cool to hear and I know i will be able to hear it..

NH is a tad sticky too about our eastern speed limits on state roads... Vt on the other hand it seems only town limits are meaningfull....

I guess i will meet him, change his oil see if he wants a shower, foods, maybe take him out, and kiss him good bye ..... I am too old for high speed antics.
