I am soooooo looking forward to "next year". I left home on 3/28 and have not made it back. My Nomad sits in the basement with fresh oil and good tires ready for a ride. But, it may not happen this year. Looking forward to going west in 2016!!!

I will propose Diamond Lake, Oregon for next year.

We should come up with a few more suggestions....Diamond Lake makes three with the Redwoods and The Dalles being the other two...and run a poll. I would be so bold as to suggest a return to Orofino be considered as well given the awesomeness of the hotel. I'm sure those who missed the first time there would love another shot at it. Keep the ideas coming guys.

My vote would be Hannigan Meadows, but I doubt that some would come that far. Lots of great riding out that way too.

Depending on the time of year I would not rule that out. Looks like a cool place.

The local BMW club just had a rally up there this month. It's about 30 degrees cooler than down in the valley here. Lots of twistie roads and NM is right there with a lot of roads. If you do adventure/dirt riding, there's a lot of that too.

There was some noise about Logan, Utah a while back too.. That seemed like a nice place when I rode through there a couple years ago....

You know I keep worrying about the hot weather that the Arizona, Nevada, Utah and California guys would need to endure but to be quite frank it really doesn't matter because no matter what direction they go in it is going to be hot. the exception is the California guys could come up the coast. I guess the trade off would be to have it in the spring versus the summer?

That's exactly right, Greg. No matter which direction I go this time of year I have at least a day of miserable heat to ride through. I would prefer to get together before mid June. That's when things get dangerously hot.

Memorial day is May 30th. If May is the month it would be nice to miss the holiday traffic and prices.
