Yeah, actually it wouldn't be a bad idea to pull the axle and spacers and look at them plus the seals. They're probably fine, but a front axle is a part where you just shouldn't assume anything.

I suspected this very thing if you go back to my furst post. I said to get the entire ft end checked since the ft end isn't fully factory assemebled.

These are spacers not bushings... The bearing bears up on these and so do the soft alloy forks which may be gauled...

macmac you were right on. I finally found a dealer that knew what he was doing. They fixed the problem in 30 Min. He checked everything over and all is OK with the bearings and the forks. Went on a 100+ mile ride today with Todd and no problem in fact I think it handles a little better or maybe it's just in my mind. Who knows? Thanks for your help.

Loud Squealing Sound

A loose front axle will cause deflection in the fork legs, shifting of the wheel, and sticky operation of the front suspension. I wouldn't doubt that it handles better with the axle tight. ;)
