then they dropped it and now combined HST is 13%
When they changed it, some items (food) got added that were not taxed before.
We are just about to the level of Taxicusists....er Massachusetts
There are 3? BC, Ontario and?? that have HST setup now.
Each province takes there share (that use to be the PST).
Now they recently introduced legislation HERE (ON) that if you have a vehicle (car mostly) 20 years and older, you must get an appraisal before it is transfer of ownership, so they can tax you accordingly..NICE :(" title="" border="0"/>
Most prior to that they use there own rating system of it's VALUE to get there share from you when you transfer title....
Yeah it's F'd up here!!!! Another reason they don't want GUNS around...It would be OPEN SEASON on Politicians and Legislatures
Why do people elect politicians that keep adding taxes? In the US, we've had a mini-revolt with the tea party. I just wonder how it is in Canada. Is it the more liberal and higher populated areas screwing it up for everyone or is that no one wants to cut back on entitlements? I imagine that you have federal, state and local income taxes as well as other taxes too. At some point you are working for the government most of the year. That's a problem.

Be sure to let us know what you end up with.

I have an Ultra, as mentioned, and love it. I don't regret owning one in the least -- despite some that believe they are pieces of sh!t.

2007 Nomad For Sale SOLD!!!SOLD!!!!

I made a deal today on a new 2010 Goldwing. Laura and I test rode this bike last fall and loved it. I loved the smooth effortless power, excellent handling and the comfortable ride and Laura loved the comfort, ride and sound of the bike. Now ponch I know you would say that I should have test rode a beamer but I just don't think it would fit me and glwilson if I wanted to be like the majority of bikes on the rode I would have bought a Harley in the first place. Harley Davidson builds bikes as well as any other but I am not going to be come a member of any club for $26000.00. I am not trying to offend you but they put a lot of emphasis on being part of their club. I don't need a bike to make me a bad ass because I've been there done that.

Excuse me? Did I say anything about joining a club or being a bad ass? Geez....

Good luck on your new ride. Wings are great bikes. ;)

2007 Nomad For Sale SOLD!!!SOLD!!!!

Congrats on the New Wing,

I know a couple guys with em, love them. In fact I don't know anyone who ever goes back. All the jokes aside about them, they really are a high performance machine, and I think Honda must be doing something right considering how much they have cornered the touring market. When I think of the guys I know who actually put high miles each year on the bike, the Wingers are at the top of the list (in fairness, the bm'r guys get some crazy miles in too - more before breakfast then most put in all day).

I've never rode one, don't want to for fear I'd start questioning the beloved nomad.... but I am sure one day when I can convince the wife into riding on the back for weeks at a time as we tour all over N america, it will be on a wing. (but by then, who knows what my options will be).

Enjoy!
B.
