A friend of mine surprised me at my house about an hour a go by showing up with his 2012 Voyager.He said him and another friend of ours rode down to Kansas( alittle over 700mile round trip in one day) and he traded in his 05 Nomad for the Voyager. Dealer here in town wanted $17k+ but in Kansas he got it for $15K. He got the darker color one.

Was that Struthers? He should have tried Country Cycle.

You will notice that the Voyager is quicker, and more nimble in the corners, also easier to handle at low speeds with a passenger. The front forks work better than the older Nomads and the fuel range is extended before the low fuel light comes on, 270km versus 240km. If you and your passenger are "plus size" try sitting on the Voyager together. You will feel more cramped.
I went from an 05 Nomad to the Voyager.

I looked at the Voyagers, but up to this year I didn't care for any of the paint jobs they all looked cheap and kiddish. I went with the Vaquero because it was all I needed as a solo rider. If I hook up for the long haul again they'll have to get there own bike.

For what it's worth, she gave me the names of the authorized persons at the first dealership...and the guy I was talking to was not one of them.

What was the name of the dealer in KS?

I rode the Voyager three times and the Victory cross country tour model once. The voyager won hands down. On that note I'm afraid to stop at the dealer where I bought the wife's bike. He gave me a heck of a deal but that was no trade and cash. That was in January or was it February 2011 for a 2010 model.
6500 trade in and no hassle of selling your nomad yourself?? go for it.

I think this is the dealer guys were telling me about at the SC Rally that was selling Voyagers OTD for less than $14,000. Not ABS but that's still dealing.

I read this whole thread and No One said the 2013's will be out in a few more weeks! They will won't they? I haven't been to the kawi site, but so far as i know the 13's come out in 12, and always have.... meaning is summer of the next year or something like that.

If the 2013's are coming out real soon they might have better colour options than the 2012's. The 2012's will also become cheaper ?
