Look who lit the fire, it wasn't one of us.

Just too bad because my purpose was to let WA members know of the special deals offered at that dealership.

I have been to the dealer that is closing, it's conveniently located downtown and I wanted to check their business hours to plan for my Electra's first service. And I find out that they are closing...

The location of Skagit H-D is not too bad, either. I will check them out.
Just curious....you don't have a dealer on your side of the border? Is it cheaper to come to the US for service? Not surprising if that's the case.

My dealer is only about 4 miles away from me and I really like the sales people there.

The service dept pissed me off though so I am looking for a good shop that I can get my regular service done during the warranty period.

Also the labour rates are much better in WA than they are in B.C.

Plus, it makes for a nice trip down to WA.

Gene, I know what you're saying.

Like they say, it's not the destination but the journey and one enjoys riding the dream bike most (whatever it may be) when they mindfully go through the process and finally pull the trigger on it.

Hang on, to whom I'm talking to... Enjoy the process, .

Yea, I was the one who "started all this" crap. For Pete's sake....it's was a JOKE! It was nothing personal against either elvis or HD in general. Harley makes some great bikes. Turns out they weren't for me so I bought "the other American made bike" but it doesn't matter what I bought. It could have been made in China with German parts in a sweat shop run by under age Ugandans (I think I got everything covered there). In the end, someone's talking about an American made bike on a KAWASAKI forum. Expect a little ribbing. Like I said, Harleys are good bikes just not for me. Their fit and finish is second to none except maybe BMW. Hell, I own a Victory and I make fun of some of their downfalls.

Once again, IT WAS A JOKE! Get over it, guys.

Even though you were "monkeying around" it still hurt my delicate feelings.

I'm asking The Dear Leader to intervene and make you apolozise (with the threat of tossing you off this fine BBS) to all the Harley owners past, present and in the future.

Along with an offical apology from you, I think a bit of "Motorcycle" diversity training is in order, also.

You won't get an apology from me for joking when everyone else does the same thing. Ride what you want. I don't care now and never did. Two wheels are 2 wheels, whether it's a Harley, a Victory or a Kawasaki.

Threats don't make any sense. If you (and/or "The Dear Leader") feel I should go, so be it. I'll make it easier and leave on my own.
