I just want to try and make the SE rally this year.

I liked Helen because it's nearly centrally located, it had covered parking and we could walk to some place after the ride and have a drink with a meal and Dk always brings a cooler of beer. Elkins was just beautiful and I loved it. I go to the Antlers rally every year and been doing it for about eight years and to a pessimistic, malcontent, serial-bitcher that would appear going to the same place, same people, same hotel, eating at the same four places and a different one here or there, but I enjoy that rally every year.

To most of us the best part is socializing after the rides, otherwise we'd all be riding to different places.

It's sort of like going to your Mama's for Thanksgiving. You get to see your relatives you miss. From time to time, you gonna be the distant cousin there with another workman's comp case tied up in court bugging you to co-sign on a car loan or the uptight militant-Christian sister going through menopause.

All in all those are my two wants, unless somebody tosses a new idea on the table and I'm for that.

I hope everybody is more decisive than that.

In that case put me down for Helen.

I don't know much about central or western TN as far as roads to ride and what not.

This is my 2cents. Not a bunch of places like Helen,GA or MaggieValley,N.C. to stay at but many great rides and things to do downtown and fairly good eating places downtown too....
Lynchburg,TN is my pick.
Oh yeah, they make Jack Daniels there for those who might not know...lol

Obviously I was joking about Memphis.
I doubt there is much in the way of good riding in western Tennessee.
But when you guys pick a spot if I can make it work I'll be there.
