New Kawasaki bagger?
Don't lie, you heart skipped a beat with anticipation, didn't it!
One of my day dreams for the last couple months has been a 4 cylinder bagger, which I think we've lost, except for the Yamaha Venture. ??? Wouldn't something like the '95 KZ1000 make such an awesome road machine? A 1000cc in-line 4 wouldn't hurt for power, and if money was no object, build it with the new ZX1400 powerhouse. Alas, this is just a dream, not a project. :( although, I do see one of these KZ's for sale on Craigslist for $2500 . . . In my head, it could be a Vaquero with Ninja speed My computer chop-job

I realize there are sport-tour machines. But this seems different to me. Maybe I just miss the look

I have several old Z1's and J's laying around from my dragbike days
But if I was dreaming, How about a old 900 eliminator They had the 900 ninja motor and were setup alot like a vulcan 900 custom Or even better a ZRX 11 or 1200 you can find a wrecked one for cheap find any year nomad and mate the two one way or the other. I made all my own dragbike frames this would be the same thing

Isn't the Yamaha Tour Deluxe a V-4 Bagger?
I know they don't make them anymore but I was lookin at them before I bought the Nomad.

I didn't know anyone made a big carb'ed bike anymore until I read that. I wonder why it isn't fuel injected?

I'd be happy with one that had at least 135hp.

Boo Hoo - okay, the new Venture is a detuned version of the original. But, I do have a 1987 Venture Royale ( >100 HP) in the garage and a 1985 Elininator 900 ( >100 HP) lurking in there also. I can tell you that its a power shock when I ride the Nomad and then get on either of them! Even my 1976 Goldwing GL1000 is around 100 HP. Not sure why Kawi discontinued the inline Voyager as it was a more than capable touring bike with good power and mileage! Yamaha cut the balls off the Venture and made it gutless and hard on fuel! Only Honda and BMW kept up with the power and capability for a touring bike. Harley's are better than they were but still down on power ( but the new one's do get really good mileage)
