4 weeks is a long time, any news on when you'll be getting it back?

I talked to the shop owner today and he ordered my parts and he thinks he can have it ready by next week. The longest it would take is the following week.

That is a terrible thing. When I was hit by a car on my 1983 Goldwing I went to my insurance agent and told him how much all the parts would cost. They wrote me a check and I took off everything that needed replacing and fixed mine within a week. Not a hard thing to do. Parts took a few days to come in but not long.

This is why everyone should have at least 2 bikes.

4 weeks, that's tough. The longest I went without riding mine was 5 days, that's because I went to the Bay Area on business.

You could always go buy another bike!

I know the feeling! Due to health reasons I have rode my bike once since June 13th. first a ruptured calf muscle with blood clot. I finally rode bike on August 22nd. Then on August 24th had ankle sugery to remove a tumor they found while doing MRI on lower leg for blood clot. Tumor was not cancerous and slim chance of regrowing. Recovering well but the summer riding season has been shot. looking so forward to October so we can get some riding in. Hope you get bike back soon

I hope you get back in the wind soon. When I had my crash in 2007, (broken leg). I got the call from the shop that the bike was ready the same day the Doc told me I could get off the crutches. Me and the bike were both down for a month. The wife and I both went through withdrawals. I told Doc I was going to pick up my bike. He about flipped out. But just shook his head and said get your bike and take it home. It was labor day weekend took us 450 miles that weekend to find home.

Go outside, sit in the sun, close your eyes and think about all the great rides you are going to have.

I don't know where you live Rick, cause it is not in your profile :(" title="" border="0"/>, but if you are having withdrawls from 4 weeks you sure don't live up here in snow country. We put our bikes away for 5 months , now that's tough on the stress level.
