Hitch with Chrome Saddlebag Guards Project

Inspired by the fact I did not want to lose my chrome saddlebag guards in conjunction with trailer towing, I was forced to fab my own hitch. I also moved the Saddlebag Guards over (or outward) about 1/2" to slightly center them better with the hard bags. Certainly not intended to copy Chuckster, but after several drawings, this straight forward design proved to be the best (and easiest) for me to fabricate. Other mods this winter: Cadmann dual 9" air cleaners (and Idle Solnds) , Techlusion TFI, Cam Extenders, Reed Valve/Emission removed, V&H head pipes with Bassani 4" Slash-Cuts. Advice: Measure 5 times - Cut Once.

Looks good! Glad you didn't have to give up the guard rails. They are a nice touch.

Looks good.

I was wanting a hitch and keeping side rails also ::)

Gave chucksters a call and we did a few mods to the rails to fit them.

Just finished installing hitch on mine and was able to keep the chrome side rails. Once I get chance to take pics of the install, I'll post them.
